Introducing Daron Rahlves , Olympic skiing hopeful and spokesperson for Monster in its sponsorship of the 2002
Olympic Winter Games.Recently named 2000’s "US Alpine Male Skier of the Year" by Ski Racing Magazine, Rahlves is ranked
as the #1 downhill and super-G skier in the United States. A member of the 1998 Olympic and U.S. Alpine Ski Teams, he won
the gold medal in the super-G at the 2001 World Championships in Austria, becoming the first American to capture the
event since it was added to the schedule in 1987.
Rahlves, 28, embodies Monster’s "Never Settle" philosophy towards life and career. Competing in one of the most exciting
sports in the world, he never settles for anything less than realizing his full potential in pursuit of his dreams.
"We’re extremely excited to have Daron on board as a Monster spokesperson for the 2002 Olympic Winter Games in Salt
Lake City," said Jeff Taylor, CEO of Monster.
"Monster is the champion for your right to a more fulfilling work life, and Daron Rahlves is a living example of how
fulfilling work/life can be when you find a career that’s challenging, enjoyable, and rewarding. He is a great voice for
delivering a positive message that leaves people with a sense of hope and possibility, and we look forward to seeing him go
for the gold in Salt Lake City!"
Rahlves’ quest for Olympic glory in downhill skiing and super giant slalom parallels the job seeker’s quest for a better
career and better life. He serves as a source of motivation for anyone making positive changes personally and professionally,
with Monster as a critical step in the journey.
