Olympic Home Win a Trip Careers in sports Press Room Our Sponsership

In January 2000, Monster became the first "dot.com" sponsor of the 2002 Olympic Winter Games and the 2002 and 2004 U.S. Olympic Teams. "It's great to be the first dot.com to join the elite group of U.S. Olympic sponsors, but even more exciting to support the athletes who strive to be their best," said Jeff Taylor, CEO of Monster.

Monster will bring online career management services to the Salt Lake Organizing Committee, the United States Olympic Committee, and U.S. Olympic Athletes.

Monster will provide SLOC's Team 2002 (volunteers and staff) with a private online community offering: chats, message boards, newsletters, custom content, volunteer profiles, FAQ's and a Volunteer Skills Portfolio to highlight their volunteer experience on their online resume and receive a unique 'mark' to acknowledge their service.

Monster will also be creating a private career operating system for US Olympians and US Olympic Team hopefuls. This Monster career management site will assist athletes as they move on from their Olympic careers to careers in the professional world. Unique content, Olympic community, resume building, and a mentoring system are the highlights of a program that will be the first of its kind in the world.
